About Andy Dufton
I’m currently a PhD student at the Joukowsky Institute for Archaeology and the Ancient World at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. My research interests focus on pre-Roman North Africa, and on the uses of digital technologies for bringing archaeology to new audiences. This year, much of that focus has been on the release of the first archaeology MOOC – a course called Archaeology’s Dirty Little Secrets offered on the Coursera platform. Before starting (yet more!) studies, I lived and worked in London, UK as part of L – P : Archaeology’s award-winning digital department with projects such as the Thames Discovery Programme, Prescot Street, and the release of the Archaeological Recording Kit (ARK) open source system for archaeological recording.
